Micki paints and writes. Creative writing has been as necessary as breathing since she was four or something. But her painting life is rather Grandma Mosesian—Micki did not take up the brush until age 46.
Inside the file cabinets that contain the oeuvre of her literary life are stage plays, short stories, poems, screenplays, personal essays, magazine and newspaper feature articles, novels, non-fiction books, children’s books, word games, humor and song lyrics. Published at sixteen, Micki has continued to produce works of varied genres that have been presented for public scrutiny. Her writings have appeared in books and magazines, on stage and television, and on the Internet.
Rodney is a man for all seasons and all tasks. Whether fashioning by hand the many pottery designs that are included in his original collection, or creating free-standing fire pits and built-in fireplaces, or creating his unique line of patio furniture, or drawing the architectural plans for construction of tiered walls and stone paths and other enhancements of landscaping that have graced the gardens of many delighted patrons, he proceeds with industry and ingenuity.
Rodney has a favorite mantra: “I have no problems, only solutions”—it is a promise that he puts into practice.
Inside his workshop located on his family’s beautiful property in Pipe Creek, Texas, Rodney creates his furniture and pots out of concrete that he shapes and colors by hand. Clients range from high in the Hill Country down to metropolitan San Antonio, across the sweep of the south and southwest ranchland to the Mexico-Texas border. Across hundreds of miles where gracious estates are erected, ancestral city homes stand, lake dwellings reflect in clear pools and sprawling ranch properties sprawl, Rodney’s designs are featured in the outdoor scheme of things.
We have pooled our resources. Personally and professionally. In the coming years we hope to stretch our individual visions and begin creating works of art together.
